CHAMPIONSHIP DESCRIPTION
Anyone can take part in the International Massage Championship, regardless of their experience
The massage championship nominations are divided into categories:
male
female
male
female
Massage competitions are held in groups of 6 to 8 contestants
From each group, 1 to 3 contestants are selected to continue to the next round
The competing duration of each group is 30 minutes
All contestants will receive a certificate of participation
The six finalists will receive a ranking diploma
The top three finalists will receive a medal
NOMINATIONS
It includes all services that are provided in spa and wellness centers like facial massage, cupping, cellulite therapy, stones massage, bamboo and much more.
- Stretching is not allowed.
- The use of special equipment like stones, bamboo, cups is allowed.
- Only silicone cups are allowed, any other form of cups is not allowed.
- Use of silicone cups has to be kinetic and not static.
- It is performed on a massage table.
Sports massage aims to release the muscles of galactic acid. It combines stretching techniques with deep tissue massage.
- Stretching in combination with massage techniques has added value on the participant’s grade.
- Use of tools is not allowed.
- It is performed on a massage table.
Therapeutic massage aims to release the receiver from muscle pain. The use of relaxing techniques has a negative effect on the participant’s grade. Techniques of lymphatic massage are forbidden.
- Stretching is allowed.
- The use of tools is allowed. These tools can be of wood, metal bamboo, etc.
- Use of tools is not mandatory.
- Use of silicone cups is allowed. Any other form of cups is prohibited.
- Use of silicone cups has to be kinetic and not static.
- It is performed on a massage table.
Facial massage is an essential part of cosmetic skin care. This is a method of mechanical and reflex action on organs and tissues. The method is based on the mechanical movements of the massage therapist's hands. It is manual massage that is the most effective and popular procedure.
In the facial massage nomination, you can demonstrate:
- any manual massage of the head, face, neck, and decollete:
- it is forbidden to use any additional instruments during the performance;
- make-up removal and washing of the client is not included in the evaluation of the judges. All manipulations to cleanse the skin should be carried out before the start of the competition;
- you can perform massage, both in cream, oil, and in a dry way;
- it is not the result of the effectiveness of the massage that is evaluated, but the individually composed massage technique. Your task is to demonstrate the idea and competent approach in working with the client

Participation fee for every additional style: 180 BYN (50 EUR)
Participation fee for sports ticket: 110 BYN (30 EUR)

Participate in the M1 Gala event
The M1 Gala events take place in various cities around the world.
Competition Styles
M1 includes the following competition styles, with a maximum of 10 participants allowed per group:
M1 Asian Freestyle Massage
M1 Sports Massage
M1 Four Hands Freestyle Massage
M1 Western Massage
M1 Chair Massage
Μ1 Asian Free Style massage:
• Stretching is allowed.
• The receiver can be fully clothed or not. In case the receiver is without clothes, oil must be used.
• It is performed on a massage table.
• The participant is allowed to step on the massage table and lose the contact with the ground.
Μ1Sports massage:
• Stretching is allowed
• Stretching in combination with massage techniques has added value on the participant’s grade.
• It is performed on a massage table.
• Participants have to keep at least one leg in touch with the ground at all time of presentation. Disqualification is be given to the participant in case of losing the contact with the ground.
Μ1 Four Hands Freestyle massage:
• Stretching is allowed.
• It is performed on a massage table.
• Each participant has to keep at least one leg in touch with the ground at all time .
• Exception is if one of the participants steps on the massage table as long as the other one has both feet in touch with the ground.
Μ1Western massage:
• Stretching is not allowed.
• It is performed on a massage table.
• Participants have to keep at least one leg in touch with the ground at all time of presentation. Disqualification is be given to the participant in case of losing the contact with the ground.
Μ1Chair massage:
• Stretching is allowed.
• The receiver must be fully clothed.
• The use of oil is not allowed.
• It is performed on a massage chair.
• The participant is allowed to step on the massage chair and lose the contact with the ground.
Ranking list and Points System:
Participants in M1 Grand Prix earn points based on their place, as follows:
1st Place: 24 points
2nd Place: 12 points
3rd Place: 6 points
All remaining positions will be award with 2 points for their participation.
Participants in M1 National Tournaments earn points based on their place, as follows:
1st Place: 12 points
2nd Place: 6 points
3rd Place: 3 points
All remaining positions will be award with 1 point for their participation.
From every M1 Grand Prix or Tournament, participants are eligible to collect points from only one category—specifically, the one that offers the most points
Attention :
In categories with less than 6 participants , they are not collect points.
Performance Guidelines:
All participants present their routines consecutively, and the performances lasts 3 to 5 minutes.
Routines are executed on a massage table, accompanied by music.
Contestants must provide their chosen music track 7 days previous to the event.
The recipient may wear only a swimsuit or special cover pads.
Use of a towel to cover the receiver is optional.
Disqualification Criteria:
Improperly covering sensitive body parts results in disqualification.
Bone adjustments and chiropractic techniques are strictly prohibited.
Use of tools is prohibited.
The cost of participation in the M1 Gala event:
1260 BYN (350 €)
Extra category: 900 BYN (250€)

SCORING
SCORING
- The 5 judges vote, indicating the contestants they propose to qualify to the next round.
- In case of a scoring tie, the judges are asked to vote again among the tied contestants.
JUDGES SCORING CRITERIA
- Body mechanics
- Flow of the session
- Uniqueness of the techniques
- Contestant’s concentration
- Variety of techniques
- The Contestant’s routine should be perfectly in line with the type of massage
- Medical clothing with a comfortable cut that allows full movement of the arms and legs is allowed
- Performance in a medical gown is not allowed
CLOTHING
CLOTHING
- The clothing can be either a massage suit or sportswear
- Each contestant can compete either in athletic shoes or barefoot
LIMITATIONS
- Contestants are not allowed to wear anything on their neck, wrists and fingers
- Contestants must have their hair tied
- Contestants should not have long nails
RECEIVERS
- Each contestant must have a receiver
- Under no circumstances should sensitive areas of the receiver be exposed during the treatment
- If this happens, the contestant is excluded from the competition
EQUIPMENT
- Each contestant must have tools and oils, if those are needed for the routine
- Also, the contestant is responsible for bringing a massage table cover or mattress cover
ABOUT THE CHAMPIONSHIP ORGANIZER
The organizer is Anna Nikonchuk, founder and director of the Alliance of Competitive Massage LLC in the Republic of Belarus. It should be noted that the Alliance of Competitive Massage LLC, represented by Director and founder Nikonchuk Anna Vladimirovna, is the official representative of the World Massage Federation in the Republic of Belarus (Official letter from the World Massage Federation on October 30, 2023, Athens, Greece).
At the same time, Anna Nikonchuk is a Member of the World Massage Federation (WMF) and an international WMF judge. By the way, Belarus has been added to the list of countries of the World Massage Federation (WMF). In addition, Anna Nikonchuk is the organizer of the national massage championship in the Republic of Belarus together with the World Massage Federation, which took place on March 2-3, 2024 in Minsk, the WMF president and the director of WMF judges attended the championship.
Anna also organized and successfully conducted the Conference of Massage Masters of the Republic of Belarus 2024, which took place on June 8, 2024, and the International Conference of Massage Masters of the Republic of Belarus 2024, which took place on October 27, 2024, attended by speakers from different countries.
Considering Anna Nikonchuk's outstanding contribution to the field of massage therapy, Director General of the International Federation of Judges Mieko Ishihara, Japan, invited Anna to join the leadership of the alliance as the National Honorary Director of Belarus. And since 2024, Anna has officially been the National Honorary Director of Belarus from the World Massage Federation. As an honorary director, she will not only participate in important decision-making processes, but will also have the opportunity to lead the development of massage, helping to constantly innovate and grow in the massage industry.
Anna is a practicing massage therapist with over 20 years of experience. He has higher pedagogical and secondary medical education, a massage master, a massage teacher, a developer of more than 10 author's techniques, such as "Well-built", "Facelift", "Body sculpture". Anna is also a member of the Union of Women Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Belarus, develops and teaches original techniques for body and face massage. Conducts massage training from “zero to master". The Queen of Massage invites trainers from different countries to her school in Minsk to improve the skill level of massage therapists and develop international relations between colleagues. In addition, she is the owner of the spa salon "KOROLEVA MASSAGE" in Brest, where training seminars on massage are also held.
